Out Of Nowhere Her Dog Grabs Her And Tosses Her Across The Room. Then The Family Sees Why…

Recently, a large black Doberman is being hailed a hero after saving a toddler’s life in the most unprecedented way. The large dog grabbed the Australian child with his teeth and threw the baby off to the side. Why? Because the dog noticed a large poisonous king brown snake in the child’s path.

The little 17-month-old Charlotte Svilicic was enjoying a nice day. She was playing outside in her family’s garden when her usually friendly dog, Khan, started acting aggressively. The dog started pushing the girl around but she wouldn’t budge. So the Doberman grabbed the girl by her diaper and threw her off to the side…

“If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it,” Catherine, Charlotte’s mother, told The Advertiser.

Mom had no idea that her family dog had these inherent protective instincts. Khan didn’t want the child to get hurt by the poisonous snake.

“Khan was really concentrating and was acting aggressive towards Charlotte and kept trying to nudge her but it wasn’t working, so he grabbed her by the back of the nappy and threw her more than a meter.”

At first, Catherine was in shock. Why would the dog do this? Then she realized what had happened and she couldn’t have been more grateful for inviting the Doberman Khan to join their family unit.

“I realized quickly it was a snake and Khan had been trying to get in between her and the snake before he threw her,” she said.

While Khan was busy rescuing the little girl, the snake got agitated. Then it struck! The king brown snake bit the dog during the struggle.

Khan limped inside the house before collapsing from the poison…

Thankfully, the dog was administered an anti-venom shot and was able to survive the potentially-deadly snake bite.

But the story only gets more amazing. Apparently the Svilicic family adopted Khan just four days before. The dog had been abandoned by the previous owner and left to die.

Because they had saved Khan’s life, the dog seemed to be returning the favor.

“When [Doberling Boarding Kennels owner] Kerry Kinder rescued him, he was starving, had broken ribs and had been beaten,” Catherine said. “He was an abused dog. It was borderline on whether or not he should be put down because he was in such a bad way.”

Even before Khan saved their daughter, the Svilicics planned to give the rescue dog the life he deserved. Now they’re going to treat him like royalty.

“If Khan wants a gold bowl, Khan gets it,” Catherine said. “We owe him for the rest of his life.”

When news got out about what Khan had done, news outlets from across Australia were calling the Svilicics and asking them if they could cover Khan’s heroic actions.

But Catherine summed it up nicely.
