So now you find yourself wondering where to get that ‘perfect martini’ in historic Trinidad Colorado. Fortunately libation is only a stones throw away from the Arthur Roy Mitchell Museum and a host of other cultural points of interest this budding art community has to offer. Though I’m not the fabled John Taffer of Bar Rescue fame I am a consumer who enjoys the finer things in life and I would like to share my critique of this exciting establishment; Brix Sports Bar & Grill.
Located on the Santa Fe Trail, the BRIX is upscale, fresh and very classy. I prefer to classify this venue as an enigmatic and well tooled establishment that is family friendly, warm and welcoming to all that pass through their doors. Whence I entered the building I was taken by the ultra contemporary design and the selection of high-end liquors. They have a sophisticated glycol beer tap system that features 12 popular brands. Every glass of suds is ice-cold, delicious and inviting.
The big test for me was the dry martini and to my joy the mixologist made my cocktail just the way I like it. Like your martini ‘dirty’? I also had a dirty martini, for the sake of my readers, of course. The selection of cocktails was very inviting indeed. It is said they serve a killer Margarita and there is no question I will need to check the validity of this claim. It’s a nasty job, but somebody has to do it. After all, we can’t have frivolous rumors floating about eh.
The ambiance of BRIX is fresh and welcoming and for a moment I felt as if I was far removed and sitting in an establishment in Denver’s Lodo district or the fabulous 16th Street Mall. When I visited with Clayton Marquez, one of the owners, he told me it was their intention to bring the flavor shared by upscale venues in the big city. I must admit the place does have a chicness that does enhance the customers experience. It is upscale but not snooty and that’s what really rocks about this place.
Bottle service is available in their BRIX V.I.P. Room, a posh private sitting area that gives you the best seat in the house when they have live entertainment. Their food menu is nothing short of a culinary adventure with many mouth wateringly delicious entrée’s to choose from. One of the hot sellers is their Hand Cut Ribeye and their burger selection is definitely a cut above. Children are more than welcome and the menu provides a kids section as well as desert. I got a sampling of their green chile, after all we are in the Southwest. It rocked big time and I am very critical when it comes to green chilly.
There is much more to tell about this place so rather than reinvent the wheel simply click the pictures provided or use the link below and it will whisk you to their web page. See for yourself and maybe one day you might get the munchies while touring the Baca House or one of the many galleries in Trinidad. Simply drop in since the BRIX is conveniently located in the heart of town.
It truly is an oasis so spoil yourself and say hi, Buffalohair sent you!
